Statement of Research Interests

چکیده
As the number of transistors that can be placed on a silicon chip continue to increase exponentially, as predicted by Moore’s Law, the design of electronic systems has moved away from the situation where discrete chips were assembled on a circuit board to one where entire systems or networks of systems are placed on a single chip. The design of these systems-on-chip (SoCs) and networks-onchip (NoCs) demands new ways of viewing the electronic systems design process and new design tools. These new design processes and tools need to be able to help manage the complexity involved in the design of new devices that will support the ever increasing demand for new applications, as well as the expectations by some that legacy applications should be able to work with the new hardware platforms. The scenarios below describe some of the issues driving these expectations:
